Ksheera dhoomam

KSHEERA DHOOMAM:

Ksheera Dhoomam, as the name indicates, is a special treatment procedure where  the patient is treated with the dhooma or steam coming from the heated milk through a tube. The cow milk is mixed with a decoction prepared from suitable drugs(that depends on the disease state and patients condition) and heated. The steam coming out is made to pass through a tube and is applied over the affected part of the patient’s body. Care must be taken not to burn the skin.

Ksheera Dhoomam is found highly effective in Ardhitham(Facial Palsies), speech disorders, Krichronmeelanam(Ptosis or Leavator Palpebral Muscle Palsy), Various Nervous Disorders etc..
