In this treatment medicated lukewarm oil / herbal decoction / medicated milk /medicated buttermilk is poured continuously over the head region.This benefits in Anxiety, Insomnia, Premature graying of hair & Hair loss, Reduces VATA imbalance & revitalizes the nervous system.Shirodhara is a specific treatment for hair loss. Herein, the patient lies down on his back on a special type of table. Thereafter, warm oil is continuously poured over his forehead. In certain cases, milk or buttermilk is also used as a replacement for oil. The procedure nourishes the brain cells, scalp channels, roots of hair and provides overall nourishment to the nervous system. Shirodhara is also useful for the treatment of mental disorders, mental stress, high blood pressure, migraine, and insomnia as it rejuvenates the mental faculties and enhances the brain functions.
